AGNES F. MEYER
MARCH 8, 1932 - MAY 22, 2021
Agnes F. Meyer (nee Bojazi) age 89 on May 22, 2021. Beloved wife of Richard H. Meyer, Sr. Dear mother of Joanne (Thomas), Richard H. Jr., Sharon (the late Joseph), the late Ronald (Jeanne), Barbara (Steve) and Robert (Loreen). Loving grandmom to Tara, Riana (Ryan), Jadelyn (Erik), the late Richard H., III., Russell, Joseph, Sean, Paige, Sarah, Kalie, Stephanie, Ashley and Cecily. Also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, her sister Margo Belleau and many nieces and nephews.
Agnes was born March 8, 1932 to her parents, Kosti and Olga, who immigrated from Albania. She grew up in the Kensington section of Philadelphia with ten brothers and sisters. Agnes left high school and began working at Stetson's at the age of 16. After marrying her love, Richard in 1954, they had six children and in June 1969 the family moved to Mayfair in the Northeast.
Agnes enjoyed life to the fullest and cherished every moment big and small. Agnes was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She found no greater joy in life than caring for her family.
She loved spending summers in Wildwood, lazy days on the beach, swimming in the ocean and BBQs in the yard. Her passions included spending time with family, her many lifelong girlfriends ("just shooting the breeze"), Sunday dinners, baking, dancing, singing, reading and drinking tea.
Agnes was strong, quick-witted, funny and could always make you laugh and smile. She was kind and giving, a truly good person with a pure and loving heart. She will be sadly missed but always remembered by all who had the pleasure to know and love her.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing and Funeral Thursday 9:15 A.M. to 10:15 A.M. St. Matthew's Church (Upper), 3000 Cottman Ave., Phila., PA 19149 followed by her Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
