CHARLES T. DAVIS JR.
JUNE 6, 1957 - NOVEMBER 27, 2022
Charles "Shorty" T. Davis, Jr., passed away on November 27, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Charles (Shorty) was predeceased by his parents, Charles T. Davis and Mary E. (Yates). He is survived by his wife Karen A. Davis and children Jonathan C. Davis (Kimberley) and Lauren A. Davis (Mark Adler). He was a loving and adoring grandfather to his granddaughters (his gang) Kassidy, Charleigh, Madelyn and Harper. He was a devoted brother to his siblings Kathryn M. Sicinski (deceased), Thomas J. Davis (deceased), Robert Davis and Patricia A. Callahan. He was a proud uncle of his niece "Ashley Cakes" and nephews Matthew, Bobby, Patrick, Sean, Ian and Frankie.
"Shorty" grew up in the Lower Mayfair/Tacony area and graduated from St. Leo's. It was here and in the local playgrounds of Roosevelt and Dorsey that Shorty forged lifelong friendships with people that he considered close as family to him. He loved reflecting on memories from his youthful days of playing football and baseball with his friends at his local fields. His love for sports carried over into parenthood when he went on to coach his son Jonathan and his friends little league baseball teams. What brought him even more joy however was being a "Dance Dad" and "Dance Grandpop". He adored going to recitals and watching his daughter Lauren and his four granddaughters; Kassidy, Charliegh, Madelyn and Harper dance under the lights. Nothing made him more proud or brought him more joy than telling everyone about his granddaughters, "his gang", and how much he adored watching them.
There aren't enough words to describe how much Shorty, Dad, Grandpop, will be missed from our lives. He was a kind and gentle man whose heart was far bigger than his stature. He loved his family and friends dearly and will be greatly missed by us all.
