Obituary

DAVID T. HOLLAND

OCTOBER 27, 1964 - APRIL 17, 2023

On Monday, April 17th, 2023, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend David Thomas Holland suddenly and unexpectedly passed away at only 58 years old. David was a pillar of light, love, and laughter to everyone and anyone he met throughout the course of his life.

Born October 27 th , 1964, to David B. Holland and Helen (Miller) Holland of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, David happily spent his childhood amongst his siblings, Kathryn (Holland) Sementelli and Thomas Holland, and those who he considered his best friends, who eventually turned into lifelong ones. Throughout the course of his childhood and teenage years he turned into the "one of a kind", witty, confident, and animated young man his family and friends knew and loved endlessly.

In November of 1994, David married the love of his life, Susan ( Rowand ) Holland, and a few years later he became a father to his two daughters, Stephanie Rose Holland (April 1998) and Kaitlyn Elizabeth Holland (February 2001), who he infinitely loved and was endlessly proud of, making sure at any chance to share his pride in their lifelong accomplishments to anyone and everyone he met.

It didn't take a lot to make David a happy man, and some of those things included classic oldies music, his pool, shore trips with his family, and his beer. He additionally found joy in cooking and baking, and recently discovered a love for travel.

His memory lives on through his wife, Susan ( Rowand ) Holland; his two daughters, Stephanie Rose Holland and Kaitlyn Elizabeth Holland; his parents, David B. Holland and Helen (Miller) Holland; his older sister, Kathryn (Holland) Sementelli and her husband Cloyd Sementelli ; his little brother, Thomas Holland; three nieces, Lindsay ( Sementelli ) Hayes - Patterson, and her husband Doug Hayes - Patterson, Amanda Holland, and Jessica Rowand ; one nephew, Thomas Holland Jr.; and one great nephew, CJ.

He is additionally survived by his four beloved "mutts": Sophie, Huck, Ellie, and Harley.

He is predeceased by his grandparents and great grandparents, and his beloved beagle mix, Jody.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend David's viewing on Saturday April 22 nd , 2023 , from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, at the Edward J. Petner Funeral Home (family owned and operated) followed by his Christian Burial Service 12:30 PM. Interment will be held privately for the family.
