Dorothy Wenke (McNamara)

February 20, 1953 – December 9, 2018. It is with deep sadness we announce that Dorothy received her angel wings on Sunday, December 9, 2018. Dorothy was born on February 20, 1953 to Dorothy (Lanard) McNamara and Raymond McNamara. She grew up in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia.  She loved to water ski and summer trips to the shore were a favorite.  Dorothy also loved reading and visiting civil war landmarks.  Dorothy married Raymond Wenke, with whom she shares two beautiful daughters.  In the most recent years, her greatest joy was spending time in Florida and Texas with her two granddaughters. Dorothy is survived by her mother, Dorothy McNamara. Husband, Raymond Wenke.  Children, Susan Melendez (Gary) & Kristin Walker (Shane).  Grandchildren, Samantha (Susan) & Olivia (Kristin). Beloved cat, Willy. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Dorothy's Memorial Service, Thursday December 13, 2018 at Edward J. Petner Funeral Home from 10:30am-11:30am, located at 6421 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19135. Luncheon to follow.
