Eleanor (Ellie) Walsh

nee Magrann

Age 94, Devoted wife of the late Thomas J Walsh. Loving mother to Timothy Walsh (Madeline) and Kathleen Slavin (William). Affectionate Grandmother to John and BJ Walsh and Liam(Dorie) and Katelyn Slavin. Great Grandma to Zoey, Alex, Charlette and Baby Colin. Missed by many niece's & nephews. Ellie was dedicated and committed to her church and the Pro-Life movement throughout her life. A mother to all, Eleanor Walsh co-founded and supported the Pro-Life group Save Our Unborn Lives (S.O.U.L.) for 50 years.  Serving the needs of expectant mothers was her great joy.  She celebrated each birth and helped mothers prepare for every Christmas day.
Eleanor modeled her life after the example of St. Theresa of Calcutta. Honoring Our Mother of Perpetual Help, she brought warmth, housing and food to many.
Her memory lives on in the hearts of thousands of Philadelphians.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday April 4th 2019, St. Timothy Church 9:30am to 10:30am. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
