FRANK J. BALL
APRIL 13, 1962 - MAY 14, 2023
Frank J. Ball, a devoted brother, uncle, and friend, peacefully passed away on May 14, 2023, at the age of 61 after a long battle with COPD.
Frank was born in Philadelphia, PA, on April 13, 1961, to his late parents, Sheila A. Ball (nee Crane) and Frank J. Ball. He grew up in Northeast Philadelphia, graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School, and attended Temple University. After completing his education, Frank began a fulfilling and enjoyable business career that he remained committed to throughout his life.
Renowned for his selflessness and unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand, Frank was dedicated to supporting individuals on their path to sobriety. He was an active and inspiring member of the community, providing guidance and assistance to those struggling with addiction. The community mourns the loss of the support and upliftment Frank provided.
Frank is survived by his loving sisters: Denise Britton (the late Michael Demetriou), Sheila Byrne (James Byrne), and Janet Ball (Donny Smith). He also leaves behind his nieces: Jacquelyn Tancredi (Derek Tancredi), Jessica Hoffmaster (Gene Hoffmaster), Melissa Callahan (Patrick Callahan), Lauren White (Gene White), and his late nephew Keith Britton. His legacy includes his great-nieces, Quinn Tancredi, Emma White, and Charlotte White, as well as his great-nephew Vaughn White. Additionally, Frank held a deep and cherished bond with his good friend Sean Battel and Sean's son, Seamus Battel.
Frank's kindness, generosity, and willingness to be there for others have left an indelible mark on the lives he touched. His absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who admired and cherished him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Frances Inn Ministries in Kensington, PA, as a meaningful tribute to honor Frank's memory.
