HENRY ERNEST ZLOTNIK, Jr.
"HANK"
APRIL 7, 1934 – NOVEMBER 14, 2021
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Hank died peacefully at Saint Mary's Hospital in Langhorne, PA on Sunday, November 14, 2021. Formerly from Delran, NJ, he was 87 years old. Born to Henry and Genevieve Zlotnik, and preceded in death by his wife, Delinda Lucy (nee Chiarizio), eldest son, Ernest Zlotnik, his sister Rita Pliszczak and granddaughter Jennifer Zlotnik, Hank is survived by three sons; Ron (Karen), Mark (Barbara), and Gary as well as six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Originally from Philadelphia, Hank was a rather quiet man who enjoyed a good crossword puzzle or game of solitaire. He had a healthy passion for owning classy cars, and would often be seen keeping them showroom clean. Hank's long career began as a Sears Sales Manager working in their appliance store, which quickly transitioned to their trucking industry, first with Mack Truck, then Signal Delivery, where he worked the ranks from driver/delivery man to Safety Manager. When the Sears brand experienced a decline, Hank once again resumed his job as a truck driver working for Wonder Bread, which he kept until his retirement in 1999. While there, he welcomed being assigned the more difficult runs that the younger drivers all passed over.
He loved his family dearly, with whom he enjoyed spending holidays and summer picnics. Following the heartfelt loss of his wife nearly 39 years prior, he amassed numerous acquaintances of regular patrons and waitresses at several diners he loved to frequent for his daily meals. He always made sure any leftovers of meal and bread were shared with the assortment of neighborhood critters who seemed to know exactly when to expect his arrival back home. His final three years were spent in a Bucks County nursing home where he quickly gained the favor of the entire staff. His easy-going personality and playful humor were evident even on his last morning. He will surely be missed by many.
