Joseph W. Williamson
September 28, 1941- March 3, 2023
Joe was the beloved husband of Judy Williamson. He was a loving father to Michele Collins (Jim), Joe Williamson Jr. (Karen), Tina LoMastro, and Jason LoMastro (Colleen). Joe was the proud grandfather to Kristy (Jason), Rebekah (Allen), Eric, Erin, Alexa, Matthew, Kylie, Megan, Ryan, and Shane, and great-grandfather to Lylah, Matthew, and Alana.
Joe was raised in Fairborn, Ohio, as one of the six children of Elmer and Rose Angeline Williamson. In childhood, he found entertainment in playing softball, during which he was well-known for hitting home runs. Joe enlisted in the United States Marine Corps upon high school graduation, serving as a communications specialist for four years. Just after, he moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he would live the rest of his life. From pin setting in his youth to competing in televised tournaments as an adult, Joe's true passion was bowling. As an avid bowler, he spent several days a week at the alley. It was during these outings that he met his wife, Judy, a competitive bowler herself. For 43 years of marriage, the couple would come to share countless meals and carafes of wine on weekly Wednesday night dates. Additionally, Joe was a member of the L.U. 542 Operating Engineers for four decades and thoroughly enjoyed paving the way for new malls and housing developments in Bucks County.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial gathering on the morning of Wednesday, March 8 2023, from 10:30 to 12:00 at Trinity Church Oxford 601 Longshore Ave. Phila PA. 19111, Mass to follow. Joe will be laid to rest at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, Disabled American Veterans, Trinity Church Oxford, or a charity of your choice.
