Josephine M. Temcheshen (Flanagan)
February 24, 1923 – March 15, 2017
Of Philadelphia, passed peacefully March 15, 2017 at the age of 94. She was the last of the Flanagans.
Beloved Wife of the late Samuel. Loving Mother of the late JoAnn Wible, Wanda Hish (the late Alan), Daniel (the late Patricia), the late James, Patricia Smith, Edward (Anna), John (Debbie), Francis (Anixa).
Loving Grandmother of 18 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Josephine lived her life for her children and grandchildren. While small in stature, and often referred to as "the Leprechaun" by her grandchildren, she made her presence known. Josephine played an important role in the lives of her family. A devoted mother and grandmother, her joy in life was hosting countless holiday and Sunday dinners. Her most popular meal was Pierogie Day, a tradition that will live through her children and grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday March 22, 2017 from 9-10:15 am at Holy Innocents Church located at 1337 E Hunting Park Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19124. A Catholic Mass will be held immediately following. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetary.
