Kathryn M.
Sicinski
May 15, 1955 — Jun 6, 2020
Philadelphia
Kathryn Mary Sicinski (Davis) at the age of 65 passed away peacefully on Saturday June 6, 2020 after a long battle with Lupus and other illnesses. Kathryn was predeceased by her beloved parents, Charles and Mary Davis, and her brother Thomas Davis. She was the loving wife of her husband Matthew J. Sicinski Jr. of 41 years. She was the devoted mother to her son, Matthew J. Sicinski III and her daughter-in-law Joelleen Sicinski, and the loving grandma to her grand "pups" Botwin and Skeeter. Kathryn was a loving and compassionate sister to her surviving siblings Patricia (Davis) Callahan, Charles "Shorty" Davis, Jr., Robert Davis, and late Thomas Davis. She was a caring godmother to Jonathan Davis, Sean Davis and Ashley Callahan and loving aunt to all of her 11 other nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Kathryn met her husband Matthew on a blind date, which coincidentally ended up being the same person he had seen weeks prior and was intrigued by when walking down the street with a friend. Kathryn loved her son Matthew more than anything and taught him the values of hard work ethic, honesty, and compassion. She loved her family and went beyond the normal standards to make sure they were safe and happy. Family gatherings on holidays were a priority in her life because the thing she enjoyed most was spending time with her family all together.
Kathryn worked at the Internal Revenue Service for most of her life where she took her job very seriously but also loved her co-workers and spending time with them. She loved feeding her grand "pups" doggy treats, much to the chagrin of Matthew and Joelleen and sometime their vet. She loved decorating her house, Marshalls, watching Lifetime movies and reality shows, and playing penny slot machines (dollar slots when feeling lucky).
Kathryn was a compassionate and inspiring person to everyone she knew. She was always there for someone to lean on in times of unsettledness. She will be deeply missed.
Funeral and burial services will unfortunately be held privately to follow pandemic quarantine guidelines and for the safety of Kathryn's family.
