With heavy hearts, the family of Louis Pingitore announces his passing away on October 5th 2018. Beloved husband, married for sixty years, to Theresa (Walczak). Father of Michele (Baldt), Lisa (James Mellon), and Paula (Tilley). Proud Pop-Pop of Amanda, Emily, Rebecca, Victoria, and Austin. Cherished brother of: Rose (dec), Faust (dec), Pete, Norma, Loraine, Marie, and David. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Louis was proudly born and raised in the Frankford section of Philadelphia in 1933. Lou served his country in the United States Army, and continued his career as a Philadelphia Police Officer. Upon retiring, Lou enjoyed his time as a security guard at Fox Chase Cancer Center and spoiling his grandchildren. Lou passed peacefully surrounded by family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial gathering Thursday 9:00am to 10:30am St. Timothy Church(3001 Levick St., Phila. Pa. 19149)Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers Donations may be made in Lou's memory to the Alzheimer's Association alz.org.
