Obituary

MARY K. HOWE

JUNE 12, 1935 - MAY 23, 2022

Mary Katherine Howe, our "Mickey", 86, of Philadelphia, passed away on May 23 rd , peacefully in her home surrounded by family. She was born on June 12, 1935, to loving parents, Richard, and Mary (Zukovsky) Gallagher and had four siblings, Alice, Franny, Butchie and Richie.

Mary married Peter Tritz and they had six children together, four sons, Peter Anthony, Steven Richard, Robert Michael, Thomas Joseph, two daughters Diane Christine and Linda Marie and her special bonus daughter Florence (Peter Anthony).

After losing her husband, Peter at a young age, Mary found love again and was happily married to James D Howe. Soon after, Mickey became a doting Grandmom to nine Grandchildren. Yvonne Hay (Gavin), Lisa Weiss (Corey), Shaun Michael, Samantha Marie, Brian Matthew, Desiree Alaina, Bryan Frank, Thomas Allen, and Christina Mary.

Mary was also blessed by 20 Great Grandchildren:  Vivian, Elise, and Julia Hay (Yvonne), Cara Weiss (Lisa), Nathaniel (Shaun), Michael and Mason Galarza (Samantha), Deanna, Abigail, Madison, Carly, Timothy Hoffman, Emma Kasavage (Desiree), Tristan and Caleb, Zayne, Vera, Valentina and Queberdo Gonzalez.

Mom loved animals and could never said no to rescuing cats, she loved them all. She always had a way of making us all laugh! She would tell us that she had such a great garden from all the cats and rabbits we buried in her yard.

Mom was such an awesome cook, she even made Bob into a Master Chef. We will always cherish the big meals she would make for all of us all through our lives. She always loved going to Liberty Diner.

Later in life, Mary had a loving partner in Norman Pender. They went on numerous trips together; her favorite was Ireland. They also loved going to the theater, movies, dinners and being with family.

We can all agree that we have great memories of Mom, she was such a special person. We will never forget going to Lake Lonnie and down the shore at Grandmoms house.

Mary was predeceased by her first son, Peter Anthony, and daughter Linda Marie. She is survived by so many that that cherished her. We love you and we will miss you forever. You will always be in our hearts❤
