Mary Jane Nase
June 17, 1950 -March 5, 2021
Mary Jane Nase (nee McMonagle) born June 17, 1950 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, currently of Feasterville, PA, passed away at home with loved ones by her side, on March 5, 2021 at 70 years old, after a courageous battle with illness.
Loving daughter of, and predeceased by, William F. and Maryjane McMonagle. Beloved partner of 36 years to Donald Taylor. Loving sister to James McMonagle (Denise), Martha McMonagle and Colleen McMonagle (James Conklin). Mother of Robert Nase (Julie) and Steven Nase. Loving Grammy to Nicholas Nase, Kira Lynn Wachtman and Ryan Nase. Friend and Aunt to many nieces and nephews and their loving partners.
Mary Jane will be dearly missed by her soul mate, Donald, who has been a loving, loyal and dependable partner, throughout their treasured years together. He was constant source of strength and calm for Mary Jane.
Mary Jane was a 1969 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School, Philadelphia, PA. She held many positions of employment throughout her life. She retired from her position as telephone operator, from Shriners Hospitals for Children in 2015, after 23 years of dedicated service. She pleasantry greeted, and was the welcoming smile to incoming patients, families, visitors and staff. Hers was the familiar voice to incoming callers and on overhead pages. Mary Jane developed many long term camaraderies and friendships with her peers and co-workers at Shriners, and has been dearly loved and supported throughout her illness by all of them.
Mary Jane was a long-time member of the Washington Crossing United Methodist Church, in Washington Crossing, PA. She relied heavily on her faith and joyfully shared the message of her beliefs, throughout the years. She remained in touch with all relatives and maintained contact with distant relatives, and family members. She was the eyes and ears of her family, in that regard, always taking the time to make calls, send letters and receive and provide family updates to all. Mary Jane was a loyal and dedicated long-time friend to many. She thoroughly enjoyed travel with her partner, Donald, as well as with numerous friends. She loved to walk the boards in Ocean City, NJ, visit friends in Florida and Alaska and try new adventures, such as zip lining, white water rafting and parasailing. She also enjoyed her movie favorites, such as Little Women and Mama Mia-committing every line to memory. She enjoyed basking in the sun's warmth while reading Nora Roberts and Nicholas sparks novels, among many others. Her love of butterflies, angels and all winged creatures was displayed in her beautiful varied jewelry pieces and treasured figurines. Mary Jane spent many hours creating her daisy quilts, which she made with precision and loving care and gave as gifts to many loved ones. She was thoughtful, patient and kind. A truly good person through and through who will be sadly missed, but always remembered by all who had the pleasure to know and love her.
A quote befitting to Mary Jane, at this point in her journey is as follows:
"What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly." Richard Bach
Fly on Mary Jane, to your new beginning....
