RITA M. CROGNALE

NOVEMBER 7 1921 - APRIL 14, 2023

Crognale, Rita M. (nee Storlazzi) of Philadelphia died peacefully on 4/14/2023 at the age of 101.  Devoted wife of the late Frank E. Crognale for 63 years and together they raised their four daughters, Regina Joyce (Jim), Joann Carpenter, Linda Bond (Ed) and Maria Mandler (John) who will always remember Rita for her quiet and humble nature.  She is predeceased by her parents Josephine and Carlo Storlazzi and her brothers Thomas and Anthony and sisters Annie and Theresa.  She is also survived by six grandchildren: Jeannie, Jimmy, Eddie, Jaclyn, Ian and Remy and three great grandchildren: Kyle, Liam and Enzo, also many nieces and nephews.  Rita was born and raised in South Philly and no matter where she moved over the years in the city, her heart always remained there.  She has fond memories of spending time with her numerous friends and family with whom she remained close throughout her long life.  Her favorite activity as a young girl was roller skating and she spent many hours at the rink becoming quite the proficient skater.  She enjoyed working at the Fair Lady Shop for many years located at K&A.  Her most enjoyable and peaceful time was spent at the Jersey shore and casinos with her two sisters Theresa and Annie.  Rita loved the simple things of life and will always be remembered as a beautiful and kind person.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Rita's viewing Friday April 21, 2023 at St. Timothy's Church 3001 Levick St. Phila Pa, 19149 9:00A.M. to 10:15A.M. followed by her Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 A.M. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
