Rita M. wife of 58 years to the late Frank Hudek

Survived by her Son, Michael Hudek, Daughter in Law Kathleen (Gerner) Hudek, Grandchildren William Hudek married to Shannon Prescott, Kathleen (Hudek) Rechner married to John Rechner, Great Grandchildren John Rechner, Joseph Rechner, Seamus Hudek and Corinne Hudek. Also survived by her son Stephen Hudek and daughter in law Susan Hudek. Survived by many Nieces, Nephews and friends.

Rita loved spending time with family and friends. She especially liked spending time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Still active well into her 90's. She loved to go shopping and to lunch with her Granddaughter, Kate. Sometimes she was hard to keep up with. Rita never went into a store she did not like. Born in 1923 and part of the greatest generation, she watched the world go from horse drawn carts to self-driving cars, type writers to super computers. Rita was not one to live in the past and she was interested in what was going on with new technology. She watched her Grand Children and Great Grandchildren play video games. She may not have understood what was going on but, took an interest.  She was fascinated that we could talk to our phones and get any information we wanted. Rita had a great life and was loved by many and will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Wednesday February 12, 9:00 am to 10:15 am at  St. Timothy Church, 3001 Levick St. Phila. , Pa. 19149. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am following her viewing. Interment Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
