Robert A.
Rapp
Nov 26, 1942 — Mar 27, 2025
Harboro
NOVEMBER 26, 1942 - MARCH 27, 2025
Robert A. Rapp, Sr.—lovingly known as Bob and Poppy—passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, at the age of 82. Born in Philadelphia to Catherine and Edwin, he grew up alongside his brother Eddie, with whom he shared a lifelong bond.
Bob was a master plumber, a profession that not only defined his skill and dedication but also his work ethic and ingenuity. After work, he was always tinkering with house projects or helping a neighbor/friend on their plumbing needs. Outside of work, he found his greatest joy in the water. Whether crabbing, boating, or floating, he felt most at home surrounded by the sea breeze and sunshine. His love for the water extended to his community, where he created the first Christmas in July boat parade in Mystic Islands, NJ—a tradition that still continues to bring joy to many.
Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Bob had a way of making everyone around him laugh. He could light up a room with a well-timed joke or a clever remark, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and laughter. He also had a deep love of music, especially '50s doo-wop, and could often be found dancing whenever a good tune was playing.
Bob was surrounded by a close network of friends, and spending time together was an important part of his life. Whether sharing stories, enjoying a round of golf, or simply relaxing down the shore, he treasured the moments spent with those he held dear. His friendships were built on laughter, loyalty, and the joy of good company.
Above all, Bob was a devoted family man. He was a loving husband to Judith A. Rapp for 56 years, father to Kimberly Rapp and Robert Rapp, Jr., and a proud grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his grandkids Devyn and Alyssa and daughters-in-law, Kara and Mary. His family was his greatest source of pride, and he cared for them deeply.
A celebration of Bob's life will be planned later this year, where friends and loved ones can come together to honor his memory. In the meantime, his family takes comfort in the countless memories he leaves behind—of love, laughter, and a life well lived.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bob's name to the FOX CHASE CENTER
