Susan C.
Kosinski

Cherry Hill
SUSAN C. KOSINSKI
OCTOBER 28, 1948 - OCTOBER 18, 2021
Susan Catherine Kosinski (McKelvey), recently of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away on October 18, 2021, at Jefferson Hospital surrounded by her beloved family.
Susan was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to John and Catherine McKelvey. She was the youngest of three children and was a graduate of St. Hubert's High School for Girls.
Recently Susan has been enjoying retirement by spending time with her family and traveling whenever possible with her fiancé Pete. She was a Northeast Philly girl at heart and knew where to get the best cheesesteak and slice of pizza. She always enjoyed an iced-up diet Pepsi, shopping for a great bargain, and getting her hair and nails done. Susan's main priority was always her son David. She was filled with pride for her only child, and once her son was married to his wife Susan, that commitment expanded to include her new daughter and then her grandchildren Lauren and Justin. She was an extremely hard worker and always made sure her family was provided for. The only title that made her happier than being a Mom was being called Mom Mom.
Susan was predeceased by her father John Sr. and her mother Catherine. She has left behind the love of her life and fiancé John "Pete" Peterson, with whom she shared 50 years of companionship. She was the loving mother to her son David and his wife Susan and doting Mom Mom to Lauren and Justin. She was a devoted sister to Kathleen (Charles) McCrosson, and to her brother John Jr. (Susan) McKelvey. She was the beloved God Mother to Stacy (Dennis) Williams and Aunt to Michael (Olivia) McKelvey and Anissa (James) Dryzmala. She is also survived by several great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Monday October 25, 2021 from 9:30-11:30 am at Edward J Petner Funeral Home (family owned and operated)6421 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19135. Memorial Service 11:30am. Burial will be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Susan's name may be made to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation, PO Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352. https://www.chop.edu/
