THOMAS J., of Fox Chase, passed peacefully on May 29, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Marie Rose "Mimi" LaCorte, loving father, friend, confidant and role model to Thomas R. (Diane), of Fox Chase Manor, PA and Christopher J. (Ericka), of Cherryville, NJ, proud grand dad of Thomas G., Jonathan R., Katherine Elisabeth, Erich Thomas and the late Christina Rose. Tom is also survived by his dear friends Rita and Michael Park, of Feasterville, PA. Foremost, Tom would like to be remembered as a devoted family man who treasured his Catholic faith. Tom was a proud member of the Northeast Catholic High School Class of 1947, a graduate of La Salle College and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was past president of the Men of Nazareth and served on Jeanes Hospital Advisory Board. He was also a member of both the Philmont Kiwanis Club and the Corporal John Loudenslager American Legion Post #366. Tom served on the Board of Directors of Fox Chase Federal Savings Bank (Fox Chase Bank) and retired as that institution's Executive Vice President. The family would like to acknowledge the friendship and support extended to Tom by the regulars and staff of the Fox Chase Dunkin Donuts and the members of St. Cecilia's Senior Citizens Club where he was honored to serve as the doorman. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Viewing Saturday June 4th at 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia Church, 535 Rhawn St., Phila., PA 19111.
